Ezy Reading: When All A Hangover Can Muster Are Eighty-Three Words

Evan Kanarakis

It was a weekend of excess.

Old friends visiting, you see.

And so it was,
That one beer eagerly became at least ten.

A lobster dinner,
A bottle of wine.

And then, past midnight, the shots.

Jagermeister.
Tequila.
Schnapps.
Sambuca.
And a few of names unknown.

Regretfully, even a few cigarettes.

And yet a welcome diversion from writing and writing.

Some laughs,
Some song,
There may have even been a dance.

But for certain,
A headache worthy of a true investment in fun.

Ezy Reading is out every Monday.
